I'm a multidisciplinary artist and technologist. I have two published poetry books, ’Lost and Found’ and '#000000', the former of which was the Poetry Book Society's Autumn Pamphlet Choice in 2016. At the moment (spring/summer 2025), I'm interested in abstract modes of communication, and in particular the question: what does it mean to understand?
I've worked across a number of industries, in a number of different technical roles from Software Engineer to Web Platform Program Lead. I'm currently an elected member of the W3C Technical Architecture Group, Co-chair of the W3C Docs Community Group, and an invited expert to the ARIA and Privacy Working Groups. I have also been recognised for founding blackgirl.tech (2014 - 2019), a non-profit organisation encouraging more Black girls, women and non-binary ppl to learn coding.
